Examination of the microstructure of a material provides information used to determine if the structural parameters are within certain specifications. Microstructural examination is generally performed using optical to magnify features of the material under analysis.
At, ALS we conduct different type of microstructure evaluation like Microstructure Examination, Grain Size Measurement, Decarburization Depth, Inclusion Rating, Case Depth, Nodularity Count, Heat Treatment Condition, Phase Analysis, Volume Fraction & Layer Thickness Measurement.
We conduct these tests on Leica made Optical Microscope with latest metallurgical software for better evaluation of results.
We also conduct Macro Examination of Weld & Brazed Joints, Grain Flow of Forged Components.
